Happy Birthday, Candy

Happy New Year Class of '66 Classmates🎉

Several of us in and near Fergus are getting together on Saturday, January 14, from 1:00 until 4 at Mabel's and we invite anyone in the area or interested in traveling from afar to join us to welcome in the New Year. Find us in the back dining room (behind the bar/pub). Snacks and simple appetizers will be provided; beverages available in the pub for purchase. Pub menu also available all afternoon for those with bigger appetites.....burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc.

Spend all afternoon visiting and catching up with classmates (spouses, significant others welcome too) or drop in as your day allows. Just mark your calendar, hope for a mild winter day and plan to come.  And please help extend the invitation to others not on the website or on Facebook.  Thanks.

As an aside, we are wondering if there's any interest, especially among the locals, in getting together for lunch on a regular basis.......monthly? seasonally? semi-annual? If you can't join us on the 14th but have thoughts or suggestions on the topic, please let us know.

Questions about the 14th or have ideas to share? Contact any one of us.....

Hope to see many of you soon at Mabel's!

Please enjoy the photos I uploaded. Felt like sharing these and not my big C problems.

I just got back from a road trip which included a visit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. I stopped in the area that listed radio stations that played rock & roll back in the day and whose name and picture should pop up in the Midwest section but Chuck Knapp and the fact that he started his career in Fergus Falls! I recall that he had a great radio show and called himself "Chuckles K" which, no surprise, was not mentioned in the little blurb. He went on to do a stint on a Christian station and is now working in the country format.

I haven't thought about him in years but he indeed is memorialized!
