Mike passed away at his home in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, on August 30, 2025, at the age of 77.
Mike grew up on his family’s dairy farm north of Fergus Falls, Minnesota and attended a one room schoolhouse. Later he continued his education in Fergus Falls where he graduated in 1966. His rural upbringing instilled a strong work ethic and resourcefulness in him that was carried throughout his life.
Mike moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1970 where he met his beloved wife of 52+ years, Cherilyn (Cheri). During their time in Colorado, he worked as a diesel mechanic, which was a trade that suited his remarkable skill for fixing anything from cars to houses. In 1977 they resided in Aurora, CO where they lived until 1987. At that time their new residence became rural Elizabeth, Minnesota, and in 2008 they moved to the Pelican Rapids, MN area.
Mike enjoyed fishing and spending time in the country. He never passed up the chance for a lively debate or to share an opinion honestly. Above all, Mike will be remembered for his steadfast love for those closest to him and his unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He often reminded his loved ones that when his time came, they should rejoice for he would be made new and welcomed into heaven with his Savior.
Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. Together he and Cheri raised a loving family. He is survived by his wife and five children.

Mike was blessed with twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild, each of whom brought him great joy.

Mike is also survived by his brothers Bruce (Jing) Danielson and Cliff (Nilda) Danielson, and his sister Emmie (David) Engelstad and was preceded in death by his infant daughter Melissa Danielson, his mother M.Clarice Danielson, and his father John C. Danielson.
Mike will be deeply missed, but the memory of his love, faith, and warmth will remain a lasting gift to all who knew him.
