Obituary for Catharine Ann Donoho
Catharine Ann Donoho, 70, of Perham died peacefully on Monday, 10/16/2017, at her home.
Ms. Donoho, who was known to all as Cathy, was born 9/22/47, in Haggerstown, MD, to Thomas S. and Barbara B. Donoho. She was the eldest of the five Donoho children.
She attended Fergus Falls public schools and was active in Campfire Girls. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Dakota in 1970. She lived in Okinawa Japan, Norfolk VA, Panama City and Cutler Ridge FL until returning to Minnesota in 1991, retiring to the family cabin on Star Lake in 2009.
Throughout her life, she participated in a wide variety of civic, church, and mutual aid fellowship organizations. She was very proud of her 17 years of sobriety and always helping others in their struggles through life. She looked forward to her high school classmates get togethers, socializing with friends, cooking, and knitting. Her son and grandchildren were the most important things in her life and she cherished each and every moment with them.
The family would like extend our heartfelt love to Hospice of the Red River Valley, Rodney Pederson and especially to her dear friend Doris Champlin for their care for Cathy at the end of her life.
Surviving are her son, Lawrence (wife Wendy) Gallucci of Carver MN. Brothers Patrick (wife Candace) of Annapolis, Maryland, Willard (wife Kathy) of Aurora Shores Ohio, and Michael (wife Amy) of Fergus Falls. She has three grandchildren, Aiden, Noelle and Lauren Gallucci of Carver MN.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held at Olson Funeral Home at 1:00pm on Monday, 10/23/2017. An Irish wake will be at 4:00pm with cocktails starting at 6:00 at the family cabin on Star Lake. Private family burial will be at a later date at St. Otto’s cemetery in Fergus Falls.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in her memory.
