Jeannine McCormick
d. April 14, 2026
Passed away peacefully after a 15-year struggle with Parkinson's. A lifelong mid-westerner, she was born in Ames, Iowa to Byron (Casey) & Jeanne Wolford in 1948. Jeannine is survived by her son, Darrin McCormick; daughter, Kirsten McCormick; her sisters, Marsha Fuller and Mary Ruch; her brother, Ross Wolford; four nieces and nephews; and seven great-nieces and nephews.
Jeannine and her siblings were very close, and experienced a memorable and adventurous youth in their hometown of Fergus Falls, MN. Following high school graduation in 1966, Jeannine attended Iowa State University and later the University of Minnesota, where, after being awarded an undergraduate degree, she went on to earn an MBA in 1976.
Professionally, Jeannine was hard-working and innovative, achieving success in a job market that was finally opening up to talented women. She was hired out of school by IDS Financial Services. She went on to work at First Trust and then Norwest Bank. Jeannine was subsequently recruited to Peregrine Capital Management, where she became a Senior Vice-President, and worked until retirement at age 55.
Jeannine raised Darrin and Kirsten in the Twin Cities and St. Croix Valley as a working single parent. After her children reached adulthood and established their own paths, Jeannine took the opportunity to travel the globe. Notably, she explored alone in Europe for three months, and later she lived part-time in South Africa. Jeannine's adventures and travels refined her exquisite sense of taste and style, a gift friends recognized in her art, wardrobe, and home decor. Socially, Jeannine was a true progressive and liberal thinker who showed concern and empathy for those in need.
In her later years, Jeannine relied on the care of others to ensure her welfare and safety. Jeannine's family extends heartfelt appreciation to the teams that supported her graceful exit from earthly life, most specifically the staff at Boulder Ponds in Lake Elmo.
Celebration of Life 11:30am Sunday, April 26th at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, with visitation beginning at 11am. https://www.bradshawfuneral.com/obituaries/jeannine-mccormick
