I was always a "hands-on" guy...(stage crew & shop classes in school)...I was happy if I could pound it, cut it, bend it, grind it, paint it.. you get the idea....Sooo, I went off to Diesel school and became a diesel mechanic. Worked on the freeways (I94 & I35) for awhile on road construction equipment. Moved to Osseo, MN area in '69 and worked a couple different jobs on trucks & ag equipment. Then got a job in 1977 to teach diesel mechanics at Alexandria Tech. Have been in Alex ever since. I retired in 2008. I'm still active with all kinds of machinery (yup...cutting, bending, grinding, pounding...!!). Also built a pulling tractor many years ago to pull at county fairs. Am still pulling. Also active in church. I am thankful for every day, for our 3 great kids, 4 grandkids and for the good health the Lord has provided!
